In this How parkour tutorial we go over one of the Lazy Vault. The Lazy vault is one of the fundamental basic vaults we are going to learn at the beginning of our training for parkour.

The Lazy vault is an efficient and smooth vault we can use to go over obstacles and maintain our speed during our run.

The key points to think about while performing this parkour vault is the jump, the positioning with the legs on the take off, hand positioning, and maintaining your speed throughout your landing.

One of the biggest reasons people struggle with the Lazy vault is they are lacking the core strength and flexibility to perform the vault. So if you have trouble or don’t feel very confident with this move then you might need more core training.

Some exercises that are great for developing this core strength are carry throughs, leg lifts, and side planks.

Another trick that will help with learning your lazy vault in parkour is to use progression steps. If you watch the video above you will see towards the end, 1 great to progress into this move.
